Here are 27 years of flyers, from our earliest hand-drawn efforts, made with glue and scissors and photocopies, to the more posh ones of recent years. All represent Duckie nights out/club nights, interactive theatre and performance events.

Readers Wifes Great Vibrations Badge (2021)
That’s a Jay Cloth creation, that badge. The vile cut-outs of our faces are taken from the first time we ever put slap on – taken at Kim’s brother’s flat in Brighton 1994. We look awful, but of course that was the point.

This is one of my favourite flyers. Jay always looks so good. We were running around all over Vauxhall on a boiling hot May afternoon for this shoot but the money shot ended up being this one, taken at the entrance to the tunnel.

Saturday Club Nights (2018)
Simon bought a job lot of 7” singles and made labels from one of our old flyers. They were really effective and you could collect the set – Wifes, Amy, Jay. Part of the fun was playing them to see what you’d ended up with. My Jay Cloth one played ‘Love’s Unkind’ by Donna Summer.

21st Birthday Party (2016)
21st Birthday Party (2016)
The theme was gambling for this bash. There were roulette tables and various games going on around the venue. Punters could bet on their favourite Duckie record of all time from a list we’d supplied. At the end we played them all in reverse order. Pete Burns had just died so understandably ‘You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)’ won the vote. When we played it all these glitter cannons went off. Boom

Border Force London & Brighton (2015)
Border Force London & Brighton (2015)
This was a really clever night – the London one was up at the Camden Centre in Kings Cross again. So well organised. You were given a passport when you got in and could visit different countries, separated by partitions. After the main acts were finished we played ‘Sweet Harmony’ by The Beloved and all the borders were broken down. Pretty amazing.

'There's Old Wave, There's New Wave and There's Duckie' Saturday Club Nights (2015)
These flyers were based on a 1970s ad campaign for David Bowie’s “Heroes” album… “There’s Old Wave, There’s New Wave and There’s David Bowie”. We created a series of about 20 of these with different people on – some famous like Siobhan Fahey and Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry (pictured), some just random people like a coal miner and a tattooed rocker woman.

Mods Vs Rockers at Brighton Pride (2014)
A part of Duckie’s heart has always been in Brighton. This night down there was a hoot and was packed. Basically you picked your side as did us staff and the acts. At the end there was a vote and the Rockers won. The Wifes were Rockers on the night, in our Motorhead t-shirts. It felt good channelling our inner Lemmy.

18th Birthday Party (2013)
Our 18th and we were back in The Fridge and feeling very sexy. We had a circus horse and female acrobat on, followed by Marc Almond who was just beyond. Great flyer, this.

Duckie Goes to the Gateways (2013)
Duckie Goes to the Gateways (2013)
The Gateways was an infamous lesbian club in Chelsea, most famously featured in the film ‘The Killing Of Sister George’. This was a tribute to the legend and took weeks to prepare for music-wise. We started the set in the 1950s and went through the decades chronologically to (I think) the mid-80s.
